Introduction

Hi, we are Joel and Malou Caburao, a family from Pangasinan, the northern part of Luzon. We came to Mindoro for a mission and we live by faith right now. I, Joel, am full time missionary in Sparrow, Christian Foundation for Develoment and Education. My wife stays at home, taking care of our two kids. Elizabeth is now 8 years old and Jonathan is 4 1/2 years old. They are both schooling. They attend a Christian school here in Calapan city. My daughter is in grade 3 while my son is in kindergarten.
We started joining Sparrow since February 2009. Me and my director went to Lazareto, the barangay we chose to help. Sparrow Foundation sponsors 40 students. The main reason of this foundation is to spread the good news. This month of July we built a cottage where the Bible studies will be held.
My work in Sparrow is to do house to house visitation, hopefully house building and helping in some ways of doing livelyhood projects. For this to happen we would need your support and encouragement. The Caburao's family does not receive a salary as a staff of Sparrow Foundation. We have to raise our own support. These are the monthly fees we have to take care of:

Accommodation: PHP 3,500
School fees: PHP 2,000
Medical care: PHP 300
Electric and water: PHP 1,600
Transportation: PHP 2,500
Miscellaneous: PHP 2,500
Daily food:PHP 8,000

Total: PHP 20,400
Tithes: PHP 2,000

Total monthly needs: PHP 22,400 (USD 470)

We want to serve the Lord in missions for the rest of our life. We learned many amazing truths and have seen God move in ways we never thought possible. Our heart is to serve the Lord and walk with Him wherever He leads us.

Our vision is to see the kingdom of God lived out in everyday ways. We seek to establish a strong relationship with the poor and needy through loving and serving them in practical ways.

Our mission is to create, equip and enact reproducible evangelistic methods that introduce people to a relationship with Jesus Christ, while meeting the social needs of the community.
